Irving Caesar was both a composer and lyricists although never providing both skills for the same song!. Self-dubbed, “the man of a thousand songs” he is best known for writing one of the most frequently recorded songs in recording history, “Tea for Two”. He also wrote the Al Jolson standard, “Swanee”. Mostly active in the 1920’s, Caesar

lived to be 101 and his catalog is so large choosing one of his songs to perform is almost certain to be an unknown number to an audience.
