Charles Strouse’s is a songwriter during the last half of the 20th Century Songbook. Writing some odd 30 scores for Broadway he is most well-known for Annie and Bye Bye Birdie. He wrote scores for the occasional film as well including the famous Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway classic, Bonnie & Clyde. Less well known is that he wrote the theme song for the Norman Lear TV series, All in the Family.
